Our house is situated in its own olive grove with stunning views across the Pagasitic Gulf, giving sun all day and glorious sunsets. It is a two minute drive or a ten minute walk from the beach and village of Kalamos. Kalamos has a selection of tavernas, two further beaches and a mini-market open in high season.
The house sleeps 6/8 people. It has 3 bedrooms - 1 double and 2 twin bedded, 2 bath/shower rooms and an additional ground floor shower room, an open plan kitchen and living space with 2 large balconied areas.
If you are looking for a chance to relax and enjoy your surroundings, this is a part of Greece that has remained tranquil and relatively untouched by mass tourism.
We are an English couple who have lived here for 9 years and are nearby to help deal with any queries and provide local information.
Follow the kalderimi (donkey path) down to the beach in Kalamos and it is not difficult to picture life as it used to be.
If you want to experience the olive harvest, visit us between November and January when we harvest our own trees using the traditional methods. Come and see your olives being pressed at the mill and take home your very own oil! Please check before booking as there is not always an annual harvest and exact timing is dependent on the crop!
Villa Moss is part of a small hamlet where local people would have lived during the olive harvest – gathering the olives before taking them by donkey down to the seafront olive mill to be pressed before shipment to Volos. A stroll along the line of remaining houses will find the natural spring and the old communal bread oven.
